You have to wait for HTC to roll it out

HTC has said it will be available soon for the international versions so it should at some point come to the carriers' versions as well.

Koodo never carried this phone so don't expect a Koodo pushed update.

It's already rolled out for carrier models. What carrier are you on? Did you go into settings - About device - Update device - Update and check for it?

I originally purchased it outright from a different carrier, unlocked it and am using in on Koodo. Do I have to wait until the update comes from the original carrier for the phone or can I get it from HTC directly?

Update checks return with nothing available ...

You'll most likely need to wait until the original carrier pushes the update.

I believe so to, I've never seen HTC post the update files themselves.
