I will soon make a trip to Japan and I want to rent an SIM Card for my phone. The problem is I don't know if my phone phone is Compatible with their Sim Card.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830D and on the web site for renting the card, it's saying to check if my phone is compatible with the Japanese network: WCDMA2100/ HSPDA2100/ UMTS2100.

Thank you very much

Should work, according to gsmarena.com it's compatible with hsdpa 2100. Make sure the phone is unlocked first if you want to use another provider's sim card though. The phone comes locked to koodo.

Just go to settings-general-network and find to what network your handset is supported.. Other than that you have to get it unlocked.. you can get this done from any third party like http://www.simpleunlocking.com/samsun... .Once unlocked you can access your phone with any country's network
