I've asked to pay off my tab on my next bill. Do I start accruing a positive tab? I don't want that. Do I need to call?

Gaining a positive tab balance was something on older plans that shouldnt be applicable to you with a current plan.

From my most recent conversation with customer service, if you leave your tab on for 24 months, afterwards you start accumulating a positive tab balance. However, if you pay off the tab early, then you wouldn't accumulate a positive tab balance.

This can change at any time.

If you are on an old grandfathered Tab, you get positive tab accumulated for free.

If you are on a newer tab, then once you pay off your tab, your tab charge should stop

How do I keep my old tab and upgrade to a new phone?

If you want to take advantage of the Koodo Tab then you cant keep the Koodo contribution that you currently have.
The only way to keep the Koodo contribution is to buy a phone outright.

Once you buy a new phone from Koodo, you will be automatically moved to the new tab.  Any positive tab will remain but no new contributions will be made to positive tab
