It's time to revamp the phone specs / features tabs.

One of the many things I do when looking for a new device is check features and specs. Most retailers spec list is pretty in depth but not Koodo.

Something that's always frustrated me is that the "Phone Specs" tab actually doesn't give you the specs and the "Phone Features" tab actually gives you the specs.

Both of these tabs could be combined to give instant access to all the information one might use to compare and make a decision. Better yet, symbols or icons could be used in the front page to show phone features and clicking "More Info" could give you written specs"

For instance a phone with a 5mp camera could just have a camera icon with "5mp" written under it.

A small annoyance but still.

The same phone on Fido, spec sheet.

Good God yes!

I was actually going to make this suggestion some time ago but got sidetracked and forgot about it. Glad somebody brought it up.

You are absolutely right, it's embarrassing how lame the information is on the phones. Unlike other suggestions, this is a simple one in that doesn't take much time, effort, or money on Koodo's part to implement and is much needed.

I suggested a few revamps of the webstore to bring it to the next level and more in line with the competition and was shot down or some of the ideas seem to have been forgotten about. One was a very simple implementation that would help avoid many questions we get about what model is the phone as I suggested to put the model # in the specs list. It seemed like they thought it was a good idea and then nothing happened, if something as simple as that or my other idea of adding multiple views of the devices was shot down I wouldn't be surprised to see this shot down as well, even though it's a great idea Chad.

Model number is another fantastic idea. The thing is, it's so easy to do these things, I can't think why it wouldn't be done.

I hope they do this change. I just love getting calls and ask them what kind of phone they have and the reply is usually "Koodo"

Almost as good as when they say "LG". Banter? Keybo? Optimus one? Optimus black? Nexus 4? Nexus 5?

I think it's less than 1% of people (mostly folks like us) who give a Dan about detailed specs. Throwing it up there for that small a group might have a reverse effect on the 99%. Fear, uncertainty, doubt. But the problem is easily solveable by simply hiding most of the stuff and creating a button that says "detailed specs".

This reminded me of the Microsoft vs. Apple design spoof. It seems koodo wants to be apple (simple, clean, easy) but some wish it was more like Microsoft. Really?:-) enjoy!

Some people research and plan a budget and make an informed decision, others say oooooooh that's pretty.

Cater to both.

If they are equal in numbers makes sense. If it's a tiny group don't make most of feel the pain of looking at spec sheets. :-)

Agreed, not only is the detail of specs quite limited, but confusing to find as well. Often I would have to resort to manufacturers site to get the details. Even though most don't care for specs, would still be nice to see something like what the competition offers. As said, can be easily fixed.
