Hold down the home and power button at the same time.

Next time you make a mistake writing a question there is an edit icon on the question, just tap that and you'll be able to make changes. You can edit answers also by tapping the answer and an edit icon will appear, tap that and edit the answer.

Hey there Ressa, Paul is indeed correct. It can take a few tries until you're used to it but it might help if you hover both fingers above the buttons and then quickly press them at the same time. You'll end up with an image like the one below.

Both the thenixter and Paul's examples work. It's just that the camera has a slight bit of lag or delay, so it's actually better to press and HOLD the Power and Home button for a second or two.
