Is the Sony Xperia ZL compatible with the Koodo network? I don't see it in the list. I only see Xperia T.

I want to buy the Sony Xperia ZL from another carrier and then unlock it and bring it to Koodo. However, I'm not sure if the Koodo network can support Xperia ZL because I don't see it in the list.

Should a sim card come with the phone when I buy it somewhere else? Will it work if I bring it to Koodo?

Unfortunately Without the IMEI or some past experience I can't be of much help on the First question. As you can see by the specs...

http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z...

There are a few different models, we would need the model number of the ZL or the original carrier name in order to make an informed decision.

As far as the SIM card, In order for you to use ANY phone (other than a Koodo CDMA phone) you will need to purchase a Koodo Sim card (10$ post paid or 25$ Pre paid) I can tell you now the Xperia is not a Koodo CDMA phone so you'll need a Koodo Sim Card. Which you can buy online through Koodo's website

I would be buying the phone from either Bell, Rogers, or Telus (or whichever would be compatible). Can the Koodo network support the Sony Xperia ZL from any of these carriers?

So, essentially, I can buy the phone, but then would need to purchase the Koodo sim, right? I can do this at a Koodo kiosk, correct?

Any 3G phone purchased from any Big 3 networks (Telus/Bell/Rogers) and their subsidiaries is compatible with Koodo.

I'd suggest buying from Telus, as it may work without being unlocked. Otherwise, you need to purchase an unlock code via 3rd party. Do check if there's an unlocking service available for the phone before purchase.

The Telus version will work on Koodo as Koodo is Telus's dirty little secret. (Telus owns / operates Koodo)

Yes you can buy the phone, then you'll need a Koodo Sim, Try it, You may need to unlock it to use it with a carrier other than the original. Contact either Telus or eBay for the unlock code. Once it's unlocked (if needed) then you can use it with Koodo by getting a Koodo sim at a kiosk or online.

I unlocked that phone with Wind card , but now that phone cannot connect to Wind. Any way to fix that?

If you're using a wind sim, the phone should connect to wind. If you're using a wind sim check your network selection and make sure it's set to Automatic. If it is and you still can't connect change it to manual and choose wind directly.

Looks like telus does not sell the xperia zl. If I unlock it from Bell will it work with Koodo (after I get Koodo sim) ??

Koodo does list at least 3 Experia models on their website for compatibility. I'm sure ZL will work too. I would just buy it and when you get home punch in the IMEI code here to see for 100% certainty. If it doesn't you can always return it. Or if you have a friend with that phone just ask them to punch in the numbers.

I am also curious to know the answer on this.
If I buy the phone from SONY Store, the unit is unlocked (means the phone is not designated to any network carrier). The phone has Micro SIM slot, so it appears to work on Koodo too.
I am fed up with this cheap Galaxy Ace.
If Xperia ZLdoesn't work, I may switch to Rogers.

Rogers and Koodo operate on the same UMTS frequency bands. If the phone won't work on Koodo, it won't work on Rogers.

And c6506 version should work with all carriers after unlocking because it supports LTE UMTS HSPA+ at freq 850 ,1700, 1800, 1900 2100 .... which means it should even work with wind
