Is KOODO discontinuing CDMA coverage at the end of 2014? I was informed of this when talking to koodo support last December but there is no CDMA coverage from them where I live, and work, in SE Manitoba. Will I have to change my cell company?

Yup. March 2014 for BC/AB customers. The issue is Rogers/Fido and MTS have exclusive rights to build HSPA towers there, unfortunately.

So why does telus/koodo have hspa service Brandon thru Winnipeg thru Grand Beach?

I assume because of a minor agreement with providing service in a major city.

Take a look at the koodo cdma coverage map. They have put hspa service through all along trans canada hwy from Brandon to Winnipeg and from Victoria Beach through to Winnipeg. This is in the last 5 years. If MTS and Rogers have exclusive tower rights for hspa in Manitoba, how does telus/koodo provide this service in these large areas?

Agreements with Rogers to use THEIR towers, not to put towers up.

We have until December then at this point we (3 subscribers in my family) will have to quit koodo/telus after 7 years and change to mts or rogers to get hspa coverage.
