Is a Blackberry Curve 9360 compatible with Koodo?

I received a Curve 9360 which was on the Wind network from my daughter to replace my relic with Bell. Phone is unlocked but when the rep at a kiosk in Owen Sound tried connecting to Koodo it would not. Then I did some research on the Koodo site about which phones connect and the site indicated the 9360 is not compatible. Now i read here that people have their 9360s on Koodo. Any ideas or suggestions? I am retired and on a fixed income so purchasing a newer smart phone is not that "smart" for me.

Phones from Wind will not work on Koodo's network. Other providers that have the 9360 may end up working.

Koodo sold the BB 9360 a few months back before the arrival of the Q10 (discontinued) the Z10 and now the Q5. If it's unlocked it should work perfectly on the Koodo network. What's odd about this is that I had a BB 9360 that was fully functional with Koodo, so I'm kind of at a loss as to why your device won't activate on the network.

Did you pay for the unlock through Koodo?

According to this article, Wind phones use a different frequency and aren't compatible with Koodo's network.

HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100, HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100

The GSM side of it should work but not the AWS portion which is Wind, unless this is a Wind branded device built exclusively for Wind Mobile. Guess mine was built exclusively for Koodo.

Based on the frequencies from it should work. Since you own the phone/have it currently why not try to put it's IMEI in the checker?
