Is there a way to change my local area number to another one as long as it is in the same province?

Hi, I live in the lower mainland of British Columbia, in which a very large majority uses the local area number of (778), and (604). However, when I signed up for Koodo, they told me they ran out of the said numbers and I have to use a number that starts with (236).  However, other areas surrounding Vancouver(Where i live) have the (604) and (778) area codes i want to use. Is there a way in which I will be able to get a number that has those area codes?

Hi Christopher, you can change your number for free via Self Serve, anytime :) However, we can say if we'll have number in 604/ 778 available. The best is simply to try! Here is how to proceed http://koo.do/1j7ZptG. Thank you! - Yan
