I  am travelling from Canada to Cuba...I have unlimited texting and Canada wide long distance already. I want to be able to text Canada from cuba ( no data or calling) what do I need to add and what is the cost.  Is this still available? My Koodo rep at Walmart, said that Cuba was removed off of the list for this add on

I see an international text add on at 15$. Nitty gritty doesn't exclude Cuba as far as I can see.

Hey Cindy! Just to confirm that Cuba is indeed a part of the international text add-on. Check out Robert's reply for the list of add-ons available for you.  Have a safe trip :)!

It seems you can still use the international riaming text add-on for Cuba.

Thanks very much everyone,  I did call Koodo just to confirm.. and I was able to add the $15 text only plan for when we do go to Cuba YAAY!

Up to october 2017 the extra  $15.00 paid in order to text Canada did NOT work.

How did you add your add-on? And when was it?
And what do you mean by
"$15.00 paid in order to text Canada did NOT work."
 - Were you able to text within Cuba?

Can you start your own post using this link with those info  pls.

Your family can send/receive texts you without extra charge as long as they are in Canada.

Do they have to use a certain code, or just send to the regular number? And when I text back do I have to add extra numbers?

Hi Richard,

If your family wants to text you from Canada, they just have to text your number in this format +1 (plus your phone number). For example +16149991111. To text back , you just have to reply to the initial text ;-) or use the same format (+1 plus the phone number).

Thanks
