Is there a data block option that does not have picture messaging?

Pretty much as the title asks. It is for a teen phone and do not want to rely on the option of turning off day on the phone. Just want them to talk and standard text unless they are in Wi-Fi

Thanks

Yes, but I don't see it listed online you may need to call in and ask a rep to add it for you.

Since it's not something you can do on your own there won't be a charge to add it.
You can find the number under contact us

The data-block is available online, no need to call.

There is no other data-block type available.

Not so long ago, there was a no-charge overall data block which customer service had to do for you. Is that discontinued?

If the original poster is only concerned about big bills being run up with picture messaging, then the $2 block makes sense, but if they are more concerned about the content, a total block might be more in line of what they want for teens.

Indeed. The reason why that existed because we didn't have one that separated picture messages to be allowed. Customers can fully disable their data from their device. The new add-on gives you peace of mind that while you using picture messages you are not also using up data.

A talk-and-text only plan might fit original request better:

Thanks again for the replies. The phone is already on talk and text only with a data block that includes picture messaging.

I wanted to go with straight up data block and no picture messaging.

Teen-ager so turning off data at the device will only last as k long as they leave it off.

Cheers and thanks again

In this case what you can do is modify the apn settings If the device allows it.

In the MMSC Line just insert a space after HTTP
save the apn
