I bought a iPhone 6 Plus on kijiji this summer. I was told it was locked to telus. I went to telus to unlock it they said it wasn't locked to them. I called Apple and they said my phone was unlocked. I was able to use my koodo SIM card in it all summer. Now that I'm in Germany my Germany SIM card doesn't work and I get a message saying my phone is locked. Anyone know what to do?

Hello Dwan,

You would need to unlock it. Maybe you misunderstood what Apple told you because the phone is definitely locked...

If you bought the phone from Kijiji, it's best to ask the original owner, Dwan. Afaik you can only have a phone unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to. If it is indeed locked to Telus, your Koodo SIM would work but no other providers (such as the German one). Somebody is definitely not correct about the phone not being locked :)
