I am new at this. I want to buy a MotoG phone, do the set-up with a base plan of $15 and add boosters. Is Koodo the phone provider or do I have to select a local carrier? How does this work?

Yes Koodo is the carrier that provides the cellular service.

Koodo also sells select phones for customers to use on their network.

You could also buy a phone else where and use it with Koodo (provided that the phone works with the network and is unlocked or locked to Koodo)

Hi Kim,

Koodo is a service provider. They provide both cell phones and cell phone service. They are kind of the middle man when it comes to being able to buy new phones, as opposed to going to the manufacturer to purchase one.

Hope that helps :)
