I have an i-phone without a data plan but I can see whatsapp even without wifi. Is this ok? Or I'm going to be charge for that even if I don't open the app? Should I ask Koode to block it?

Make sure you turn your data off in settings and yes you will be charged for any internet access without a data plan this includes whatsapp
Data is fairly expensive without a data plan so stay on wifi!

If tou dont want to be able to use data at all and worry about having access to it and accidentally using it then you can call koodo and habe them apply a data block to your account. If you do this you wont be able to use data at all until you call and have the data block removed. If you do get the data block applied to your account youll still be able to use the Internet over a wifi connection though.
How can I turn the data offÉ

settings>general>network>cellular data> off

You will be billed what's called flex data, which depends upon how much data you use. If you call to disable data completely, you will not be able to send or receive picture and video messages, and iMessage may not work properly.

Turn wifi on and whatsapp will use wifi instead of flex data.

That's true only when you'll be connected to wifi... Data MUST be turned off completly.

If you're on iOS7 the steps Daniel gave will have changed.

It's just settings -> Cellular -> Cellular data (make sure the slider isn't green).

When your data is off you wont' see anything written beside Koodo at the top of your phone (the 3G/LTE will disappear)
