Use this link

http://koodomobile.com/en/on/switch2k...

Put the IMEI number of that phone in the box and it will tell you if it should or should not work with Koodo.

There is a possibility the phone you have will work as long as it is unlocked

Apple Canada specifications are same as Koodo - GSM model A1429*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz) http://www.apple.com/ca/iphone/specs....

Hi Carlos,

I've found this (http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/972158) by doing a quick Google search, though I can't completely ensure its accuracy, it looks as though as long as the iPhone is unlocked, it should work will Koodo :)

Although using Tyler C's link will be your best bet to make sure the phone works with Koodo! Thanks Tyler!

i m pretty sure that using the link that Tyler provided will result in the follwing message "We are unable to find your device. Please ensure you have entered the correct IMEI before contacting the manufacturer or place of purchase for more information" I got this message many times especially when i check the compatibility of foreign cells.
i found, by doing a search , that the iPhone 5 A1429 GSM is working in the USA so this means that it will operate on koodo network , am i wrong ?

Koodo operates a HSPA+ network at 850/1900 MHz and an LTE network, unfortunately, if a phone works in the states, it doesn't mean it will for sure work in Canada.

For example, AT&T and Rogers are compatible, but Sprint phones for the most part will not work in Canada.

All iPhone 5 variants will work on Koodo (if unlocked): A1428, A1429 GSM, A1429 CDMA. Neither A1429 model supports North American LTE, so you're limited to HSPA.

I have my LTE turned off anyways so your experience should be fine.

There really isn't much of a difference with LTE in my opinion anyways.

Well yes, but Carlos has an A1429 GSM, so the fact that another model will have LTE is kind of irrelevant.

yes but he can may be trade it for an A1428 and will enjoy the LTE in Canada. The information is also good to know for future requests. It is relevant ! :-)

I seriously doubt Apple will exchange a phone bought in Europe, with Asian LTE standards for a Canadian one.
