iPhone won’t connect to US network

iPhone 5s on prepaid Koodo, I have bought the US roaming add ons. We are now in Florida and my phone continues to say ‘no service.’ I have pulled the SIM, restarted empty, and restarted again with the SIM and no change. I went to carrier setting so and switched to manual, and I can choose AT&T from that list, but it won’t connect - still shows ‘no service.’ Any ideas?

Hi Farrell,
Did it work before?
I would try to reset the network settings of the phone also. Goto Settings --> General --> Reset--> reset network settings.

This is the first time we’ve travelled to the States with Koodo, so we haven’t had a chance to try it before.


I did the network settings reset and same thing - I can manually choose a network like AT&T, but it won’t actually connect; still says no service.

@Farrell: I would suggest you send a message to Koodo facebook/twitter and ask them to check on your account.

Also, if possible, can you pop the SIM into another phone and see if it could connect..

When you say US roaming plan, you mean the US roaming boosters?
Is your base plan active?

Yes, sorry, they roaming boosters. And yes, base plan is active.
