I've been having issues on the top left screen area of my IPhone SE. When trying to go back a screen I try to push on the back arrow and it takes me a couple of tries before it responds.  Could I have a defective touch screen? There is no cracks on the screen as this phone is fairly new about one month old.

Is it only when trying to touch the top corner? Do you have a case on? Try taking it off and seeing if it responds better.

Give your phone to someone else and see if they have the same issue. If so then I'd follow Dennis's suggestion below.

If Allan's suggestion doesnt solve your issue, I recommend visiting an Apple store and they can do a more thorough diagnostic of the phone

Thanks Dennis. If Apple diagnoses a defective touch screen does that mean they will exchange it there or do I request a exchange with Koodo?

Apple handles all of their warranty and exchanges on their own.  Koodo would not be involved

May as well restart your phone as well and then get it looked at by Apple.
