I have a unlocked iPhone 7 and I see that Koodo no tab plans offer very good data plans. My question is if i want one of these plans do I sign a contract? Does Koodo check my credit? Thanks

Yes they will do a credit check to see if your eligible. Most of the times bringing your own phone gets you an account as they don't have the risk of subsidizing the phone. All you can do is try.

You do sign a service agreement but there's no term.

It's a postpaid service, meaning that you pay after usage. Your first bill will likely be higher due to pro-ration, as you'll most likely come in some time between billing cycles. That bill will have the first partial cycle and the next full billing cycle. After that, your bill should remain constant (unless you incur overage charges). If you cancel, your final bill will include your final billing cycle, pro-rated to reflect only what you used that month (i.e. if you cancel mid-cycle, you only pay for half of the cycle).
