Hello, I am using iPhone 6s Plus with Koodo's $55 for 2GB plan. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 which has a phone capability and 4G supported. Can I just put the sim card in any device I like and whenever I want?

So far, I just use the 6s Plus. However, as I spend 3-4 hours/day to commute on the bus and subway, it would be easier for the eyes if I use a 12.2 device for browsing the web and reading pdf files.

What are the possible options? Which method do you recommend?

You could use your iPhone as a hotspot, and tether your tablet to it.
Koodo does not offer tablet plans, so swapping your SIM may not work.

Thanks. If I tether the tablet, will it cost more? Since both devices will be connected, will I use up the 2GB sooner?

Could anybody who knows for sure whether or not swapping the SIM will work reply? Some people call the Note PRO 12.2 a tablet but some people call it a big phone.

It will not cost more. Tethering is free with Koodo. Unfortunately, you will use more data but not that much. Because most of the usage will be on your tablet instead of your phone. Your phone will use some data while idle for push notifications and things like that.

As for your second question, I do not know the answer. Why don't you try? I know Fido doesn't support that. Don't know bout Koodo.

Thanks. About how many percentage of extra data will be used?

Not much really. Visualize it as if your phone was idle and using normal data of an idle phone. I can't tell you exactly how much, but tethering data won't make you use significantly higher amount of data.

Just make sure your tablet has automatic update turned off (from Google Play store) because that will bust your data. The tablet won't know you're not on wifi and will still download the updates!

The Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 will allow for 3G operation only, no 4G LTE. The frequencies listed for your tablet are not compatible with Koodo's 4G LTE frequencies. (Tablet model numbers: SM-P901 & SM-P905). The tablet takes a microSIM whereas your iPhone 6s Plus takes a nanoSIM. The SIM card in your iPhone won't work in your tablet because it's physically too small. A SIM adapter may solve that problem.

Thanks for pointing out the network compatibility issue. In my case, is it better to use Tethering? If so, is there a website to show the proper procedure to do tethering?

You're welcome. I've included a link to a video that shows how to setup a Wi-Fi hotspot. It's really the only option you have. Periodically monitor data usage to give yourself an idea of how much data is used while your tablet is tethered to your Wi-Fi hotspot.
