So looks like once again koodo will only offer the iPhone 6s plus in a 16 gb? Why? I have at least 15 friends that left Koodo last year for just that reason. Why not offer at least the 64 gb? Looks like I will have to buy it out right or go somewhere else. Sucks because I have been with Koodo for years and have been very happy with there service.

Did they leave for a better plan too?

If not then they should have bought the phone unlocked from Apple and continued to use it with Koodo

No because let's face it, we all know Koodo has probably some of the best plans available. It is the cost of buying the IPhone out right. A IPhone 6S 64 gb is basically $1200. That's a lot to throw down on a device. So they went else where to help cover the cost of the device. We all know that 16 gb is to small for a phone. My 7 year old daughter has a 16 gb iPad. And within a few months it was full. Every time she wants a new game or take a video I have to delete a dozen things off it for her.
All I am trying to say here is that if I personally know of over a dozen people that left Koodo for this reason how many people have and will potentially leave due to this reason. Why can they not offer the 64 gb in the IPhone plus? They offer it in the 6 and will by the looks of it in the 6S as well!!!

I agree that it sucks that Koodo doesnt carry the larger sizes.

But to be fair, with Koodo, you can get a max of $360 on Tab and then it is paid back in full over 24 months.  Their loan (not a subsidy anymore), is so insignificant that it really isnt that big of a deal to purchase the phone direct from Apple.

If you cannot afford the extra $360, then maybe you shouldnt be buying a $1000 phone.

I feel your pain, thats why i stopped buying phones from Koodo. And maybe you can try out Apple's Financing Service if you dont wanna put down that much money at once.

The large tab is just over 500 which almost cuts the cost of the phone in half. And personal I am looking to pick up two of these one for myself and one for the wife. So it would be almost 2400 for me instead of a possible 1000 - 1200....

I highly do not recommend the Tab Large.  The Tab Large requires a Tab Large plan which is of very poor value

I completely agree it's asinine for anyone to get a 16gb device this day in age and I completely see where your coming from because it's a lot easier to make small payments for a large purchase monthly than it is to take that hit all at once which is nearly impossible for a large portion of the population. Buying phones outright use to make sense because they were around $600 but with the prices of phones now days IMO it doesn't make sense because it can put such a financial strain on one and a payment plan definitely eases that so customers who want an Apple device will definitely look to carriers offering a device they want if they're paying that much and I think Koodo is losing more customers these past 2 iPhone generations because the lack of a sensible amount of storage. With a big feature of the new iPhone being 4k video and live photo or whatever they're called 16gb is going to fill up so quick you'll have a useless device within a couple short weeks.

I took this straight from Forbes and I'll paste it here to show we aren't the only ones thinking the 16gb model is useless and Koodo NEED to carry the 64gb. I've also seen more ppl with the 6 plus than the regular iPhone 6 like you Tyler, even though my fellow MM's have witnessed the opposite.
Anyway here's the article portion below.
Let’s Look At That iPhone Price Again

If you look at just the sticker price, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus pricing matches that of last year’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. But with the changes in software and the ballooning storage requirements of user-generated media on the handsets making the 16 GB option almost unworkable, the base-line practical model will be the 64 GB option... which effectively adds $100 to the price of the iPhone:

So let’s revise this. Say you use just 7GB on all your apps, music, videos, games and in-app downloads (note: many premium iOS games are over 2GB alone) then the remaining 6GB of space will give you room for about 8 minutes of 4K video and 300 Live Photos.

How many photos do you take and how much video do you during a typical two year ownership period? 13GB of accessible space simply isn’t a realistic user scenario.

Absolutely. Personally I have two children. One of which is less than a year old. Which means lots of videos of firsts. First steps, first works. And many more. So in my case and many more like me the 16 gb is not a functionable choice.

Exactly I'm in the same boat with my first born just turning 1 and another one on the way I take more photos and high quality videos than I've ever imagined and yep 16gb is laughable especially when I live to play graphic intensive games on my mobile device when I get the cash the time and alot of games behind like 2gb for one 32gb is the absolute minimum I can use. Really hoping Koodo reconsider what storage size they carry in the 6s+. If your going to pay $1000+ for a device your going to want one that has the best specs and that's the 6s+, it's also popular because its large enough to replace using a tablet so your not buying 2 devices.
