iPhone 6s is cutting out every couple of seconds

I have a new iPhone 6s that I got last week direct from Apple. I am new to Koodo as of one week ago and my reception is terrible even though the signal strength indicators is very strong. I have cellular set on LTE. The other options are 3g and 2g. Do I need to reset anything? I have tried airplane mode on and off. Phone on and off. Multiple call locations. Same behaviour even calling in to voicemail. Any suggestions?

Try it on 3G so see if thats better
Koodo does not support 2G

Also try removing the SIM and install again just to make sure the SIM is seated correctly.
Is it a new SIM or out of another phone? If old SIM then get replaced at a Koodo Kiosk for $5.
If none of that works , you may want to contact Apple and have them replace the phone.

New Sim as of last week. I may have to contact Apple. Seems odd. On the voice mail it cuts out at the exact same spot on the recorded message every time.

So I contacted Apple. We did a full diagnostic test. Everything checks out with my phone. Yet, I still get a 1 second cut out every 10 seconds or so when someone is talking to me but also when I talk to someone it cuts out for about 1 second....It is like it cycles to cut out every 10 seconds.  Could it be the sim card? Data works fine, texting works fine however. Next steps? I called Koodo. Tech support tried a couple of things but no luck. Escalating the issues to a higher level support...will post the result.

no response yet from level 2 tech support. First I miss the extra 1 GB by a week and my phone service cuts out every 10 seconds...not impressed so far. Anyone have dealings with level 2 support?

Hi Andrew, Thanks for keeping us updated with your problem.

I was planning to go the same route as you - purchase unlocked iPhone 6s from Apple and use a Koodo prepaid sim, it seems the best option for someone with very low usage who wants an iPhone. Now I am hesitating.

Have you heard of anyone else with the same issue? Is your signal strength good and do you have the same problems in other locations? Maybe if you are near a Koodo booth you could get them to try your phone with a test sim?

HI Canuck47, It is a great phone and am very happy with it but this cutting out every 10 seconds is really bothering me. It doesn't matter where I am in the city or at home the problem is the same. I did a hard reset of my phone today and no change. So is it Koodo or the phone? Apple says everything checks out on there end...just waiting to hear from Koodo.

Well, something must have been reset with the level 2 tech people as everything is working fine as of today. No notification from anyone, but I am just happy things are working. I would like to know what the issue was however.
