Hving issues with my iphone 5s, Battery life is sitting around 40-60% and phone randomly just shuts off and the only way i can restart it is having it plugged in and using the Hard restart buttons to restart my phone. This has happened about 6 times in the last 6 weeks or so, Any ideas what might be causing this issue? When i turn my phone back on, my battery life is usually only a few notches below where it was when it shut down. and thats usually after about 25-30 minutes of letting my phone sit on the charger, for example tonight it did it, phone was at 56%, when i turned the phone back on, this time only around 10 minutes after, my battery was down to 33%

Is it that i need a new sim card?

or is it something with the battery itself?

Given it could be as old as 4 years, it it very likely the battery. You can have it replaced, or could consider a new phone.

No don't! I think I might have a couple more ideas. It doesn't have to do with your son though. It actually could be a battery problem. But again with iPhones you can replace the battery unless you take the screen off.

ya i havent got much more to pay off if i do have to get a new one, almost cheaper to pay off the phone than get a battery replaced! im probably just going to go into a store when i have a day off and see if they can figure out what the heck is wrong, thanks again for the suggestions,
