iPhone 5c discontinued

I have the iPhone 5c and it's still under warranty. Seems you no longer carry the iPhone 5c, so how would you process a warranty claim on a damaged phone? According to the information I have, Apple traditionally ships the same model as the damaged unit back to the customer on receiving the old unit and you just restore your phone from a computer backup, but will I get an iPhone 5c, will my phone be repaired rather than replaced? Would I receive a different model of phone? Is there a stockpile of these phones waiting for warranty claims? Thanks!

One thing you need to know first is that Koodo doesn't handle Apple product warranty replacement. You have to take any warranty issues up with Apple. Rest assured Apple has many left in case of replacement. Unless you have AppleCare that was purchases when you bought the phone, you can't do anything over the phone or even have a replacement shipped to you. You have to find your nearest Apple store, however far away it may be from you, and proceed with the warranty service there. Or pay a fee to talk to someone over the phone at Apple and to arrange it that way. Also, Apple first tries to fix your phones issue within your phone before giving a replacement. They'll only replace if the issue can't be fixed on the original phone
