Iphone 3GS No Service Issue - Need Help 1st-timer!

my unlock iphone 3GS is showing no service. I'm brand new to Koodoo, but they did confirm the plan was active, what's the issue? In another question (for an iphone 4) it mentions turning on "cellular data" & "3G" but where is "3G". & if the cellular data is turned on how can the phone be restricted to use wifi when it's available?

Try rebooting the phone.

Usually the Koodo kiosk should make sure it works before you leave.

Data does not need to be on. But 3G needs to be on for Koodo.
Settings>General>Mobile Data/Cellular/Network>3G

unfortunately I do not have that feature on my iPhone. sigh! when I turn on cellular data, all that comes up is "data roaming"...when I turn it off cellular data nothing else shows on the screen.

I don't know if this is relevant, but in settings>about, for "Network" it states not available...yet farther down I can see the # on the sim is correct.

I'm going to try to send you an image but Im not sure it's going to work, so if you move the "cellular data network" to the top of the screen, & then it shows "data roaming" & none of the other...it's iOS is 6.1.6.

Gotcha.

I would try the sim card in another Koodo phone or try another sim in your phone just to rule out the sim card as an issue
