I will be traveling to India shortly. I see I already have international voice and data roaming on my plan. 1) How much it will cost me to use international voice/data services. 2)Do I have to make any changes to account to activate /use these services?

No you dont have to make any changes to use those services. Those two add ons allow you to use pay per use rates. Use link to see rates for India.

You also might be interested in using easy roam which might work out better for you.

Hi there Jose!

What are you planning to do exactly with your cell while travelling? Is it only local calls within India and back to Canada? Or are you planning to call outside of India as well.

Give us more details to better guide you...

Meanwhile, take a look at this page that will give you all info about roaming outside of Canada!

1) For India, it will be 12$/24hrs and this will give you access to your Canadian plan, so you can use your SMS, Data and Minutes to call local numbers in India or back to Canada!

2) You will need to add EASY ROAM (text ROAM to 7626 to activate Easy Roam)

Enjoy your trip!

There are 2 ways of using your phone while travelling:

1) Pay per use
2) Easy Roam

If you add Easy Roam in your account, the moment you use your cellphone (Call, SMS or Data) this will trigger a 12$ charge in your account that will give you access to your Canadian plan during 24 hrs... If there is no usage, the option will be dormant in account until the cell is used again...

If you are not planning to use Easy Roam and you want to use Pay-Per-Use rates, then you will need to remove it from your account since it will be automatically activated in the moment there is use...

Hope it helps and feel free to ask your questions here!

You're already all set up. You have two options. You can activate easy roam for 12 dollars a day for regular use of your plan in India or pay per use, which is a lot more expensive for more than minimal use. Incoming texting is free though. Here is more info:

India is known for very cheap phone plans. You can always get a local prepaid sim card and use a voip service to have a Canadian number if you feel the need. I personally use Fongo.

Make sure you don't over look that easy roam has a cap of $150 per billing cycle.
