I'm trying to send a text to someone in Germany who's cell service provider is 02. They can send me texts and I recieve them, but for some reason they aren't recieving my texts. Why would that be? I know that they can get texts from Canada, because when I was with Telus they used to recieve my texts fine, and I noticed on the koodo website that 02 is on the list of service providers who I should be able to text.

Try removing the 0 in the 02 and see if that works. A lot of countries the 0 nees to be removed from the service provider code to work if you're texting it from overseas. For example, when I text to a Serbian provider with 064, I use the number +38164...

Sorry, I meant to say O2. Not 02. That's just their cell service provider. It says that I would have to dial 011 49 to send texts to Germany before the phone number. I've also tried removing the 011 and just dialing the country code 49 and then the remainder of the phone number. Nothing is working

So have you tried removing the 0 regardless? I see that O2's numbers are 0159, 0176, 0179. Try +49159... for example. + will cover the international dial out code but 011 should work regardless.

Yes, it's +49176 in this case. And that still didn't work

Try restarting your phone, toggling network on and off, pull your sim. See if any of that will work then.

Hey Danielle, is it working now? Normal texts will work fine with 02, but picture/video messages won't.  You can find more help here -> http://koo.do/TAUO5h . Keep us posted!

I tried restarting my phone and taking out my sim card and putting it back in like the above poster said. I was only trying to send normal text messages. Not picture or video messages. I tried everything. So I called Koodo support and they tried everything too, and it didn't work. They had to make me a ticket and said they'd call me back. That was on Friday. So far I haven't heard anything back yet.

Hey Danielle! I see that the ticket is still under investigation.  A rep will contact you once there is an update. Thanks!
