For the international roaming package, I think I understand but for clarification I need to ask. With the plan can anyone in Europe call me without incurring long distance fees on their end? Does the caller upon entering my Canadian number get charged for long distance? Usually I purchase a sim card in the country I am travelling, but the cost for some is about equal to a package.

Hello Gary,

Unfortunately, they will pay as if they were calling a Canadian number. The package is for you not to be charged, not for them...

Hey Gary,
Local sim cards are always the cheapest option.

As a curiosity which EU countries are you travelling to?

Lebara is a good prepaid service MVNO in a few European countries (I've used them in the UK and Switzerland).

@ Ivan

If I might add my few cents to that, since all EU Member Countries can now roam on each others networks without extra charges you may get a little bit more expensive sim in one EU country and use it everywhere else.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I usually purchase a SIM card in country as I want to be able to communicate local/nationally maybe even European, depending on where I am. I wanted clarification on the roaming package as it seemed one sided.
