International Long Distance Saver - price increase? 5c to 15c

I have had the $3/month International Long Distance Saver add on for many months.

I make a lot of calls to the UK. This month I noticed my bill was a lot higher than usual.

It seems Koodo have increased the price of calls the UK with this add-on from 5c/min to 15c/min.

Koodo staff, please confirm.

I can see that. But I want Koodo to confirm when the price change came into effect and why I was not notified about it.

You didn't receive anything to warn you about the increase?

FINALLY got a reply from Telus. It seems they messed up:

Indeed, we introduced a new Long Distance Saver add-on offering different rates than the one you had in your account. Nevertheless, customers who opted for this add-on prior to March 19th, 2018 were migrated in error to the new add-on.  This situation has therefore been caused by our mistake and we would like to offer our most sincere apologies. The add-on offering you the rate of $0.05/minute for calls placed to the U.K. would have been reinstated in your account shortly.

I had the same issue, but I'm confused by this thread. The original post was about Koodo and your last post says you got a reply from Telus. So are you with Koodo or Telus?

Koodo and Telus are same thing basically.

Since you're replying about it here in another thread that isnt yours, Do you care to explain how your issue was resolved as this poster has done? Yes i have seen your other thread.

Well, after my conversation with the manager at Koodo I was offered a deal that was satisfactory to me. I was told that the rates were being increased and that the 5 cent a minute rate was gone and it could not be brought back. As far as the deal I was offered I don't feel comfortable with revealing the details of their offer. I hope this is a good enough reply.

Sure your reply is good enough. It makes no difference to me. Just find it odd that you are willing to post about your problems in a public forum and reply in other threads about same problem, where solutions have been given, but yet you want privacy in how your thread/problem was handled.

Sorry my bad. I meant to say that I finally got a reply from KOODO.
Everything is good now, Koodo have refunded me the amount I was overcharged for calls I made to the UK last month, and reinstated the previous bundle I was on, with the old rates.

Ok, I didn't see this reply until after my reply above, funny how you got reinstated and got the 5 cent a minute back and I was told it was not possible. Keep an eye on your bills and I'll be watching mine.
