I've been a customer with koodo for over 2 years and now I am looking to change my phone to an iPhone 6. My current iPhone I bought cash(800) at the Apple store and just got a basic plan with koodo(49 bucks a month). I don't have a tab nor am I familiar with the way it works. Does anyone have any ideas as to if I will be able to get the iPhone at tab price? Am I considered a new customer because I did not source my current iPhone through the company? Thanks for any advice in advance.

The new TAB is an interest-free loan for a portion of the price of your phone. Other than spreading those payments over a 24 month period, there is little advantage to the TAB if you can afford the new unlocked phone from Apple.  Since your current phone is likely unlocked, you should be able to resell it to another user with relative ease, if you wish, to recover some of the cost of the new phone.

Thanks for the swift reply!
Would you say it is smarter to buy the iPhone 6 in full at the apple store?
If i did, will I be able to keep my current plan?

Thanks again!

Yes, you can keep your plan if you buy the phone outright. Whether is better to do that depends on what is in your $49 plan compared to what the new plans include. If some of the new plans are more appealing to you, you may not want to dish your money out up front and just finance your phone.
