Hi, I have a few questions -

1. If I have an unlocked iphone 5s, would the free SIM card be compatible?

2. If yes, which plans would be relevant to me? Could you provide me a link?

3. How reliable is this carrier in terms of network and signal strength?

4. Is it possible to tether mobile internet to, lets say, laptops?

5. Is there a lock-in period?

6. How easy is it to switch from this carrier to another carrier?

7. Is it possible to have another number on the same account?

8. What network speed does it support?

9. What's the price for the SIM and are there any activation fees?

I hope you can get back!

1) yes
2) It depneds on the sim.  If it is a prepaid sim then:
If it is a monthly sim then:
3) Rogers, Bell, Telus, Fido, Virgin, and Koodo all have very similar coverage and signal strength
4) Yes and at no additional fees (just your regular mobile data charge)
5) If you bring your own phone, there is no lock in period for both prepaid or postpaid.
6) Very easy
7) If you choose a monthly plan then you can have up to 5 numbers on one account (subject to your credit worthiness of course)
8) Up to LTE speeds
9) No activation fees.  Monthly sims are are $5.  Prepaid sims are $20 but you get a $20 activation fee credit (on initial activations only, so you wont get it if you are just replacing your card)

Just 2 additions:

1. Tethering is possible, and it doesn't cost extra in itself, but tethering to a laptop inherently will use more bandwidth so just be careful.

2. You can have up to 5 lines on postpaid, but if you're a new customer to Koodo, even if you're approved without a spending cap, you will be limited to 3 lines for the first 90 days.
