Incorrect Monthly term period

I switched over from Public Mobile to Koodo on March 13th.  The deal is $40 for monthly plan - 6GB, unlimited text, unlimited national-wide calls, plus $100 cash credit.
I just logged into my account and saw that my term period is March 13th to March 16th?!  My deal is on a monthly basis, not just for 3 days.  Should it be at least from March 13th to April 12th?  Why did Koodo credited $40 from my account for 3 days of use?  Why am I on the next term payment from March 17th to April 16th?  

This is very unacceptable and unpleasant experience if Koodo is charging me 3 days of use for $40 (supposed to be monthly plan rate).  Koodo, please correct this.

Can anyone help?

This is normal with every postpaid carrier. Your first month is prorated which means you pay for the part month up until your billing cycle date and one month in advance. Next month and from then on you will be billed every 30 days as normal. Like I said this is normal and occurs with every carrier on postpaid accounts.
