I am going to Cancun on Saturday, and worried about getting charged for incoming texts if I have my phone on. I have a galaxy grand prime, and on basic plan (the $25 before it stopped existing) Does anyone know what charges might happen being in a different country? Is there a way to turn off texting while I'm away if I still want to use wifi? Thanks!

It's usually 60 cents per international text. You can disable international roaming or keep your Sim card out of your phone while out.

If you plan on using your phone, you can always get an international talk text and data package just to insure your covered . If you don't plan on using your phone at all Gorans advice above is brilliant.

Hey Michelle! Incoming texts are free, so
unless you are answering back you will not be charged! The same thing goes for
phone calls. If you receive a call, don't answer and let it go to voicemail. I
would suggest you turn off data and data roaming, to do so go to apps -
settings - mobile networks - make sure that it’s off. To turn off normal data
go to app - settings - data usage - make sure it’s off. If you change your mind
and would like a roaming add-on, you can view them all here http://koo.do/trvllng. Have an amazing
trip!
