You have to upgrade to a new plan which features the shock free data feature

And you're acting like an entitled jerk. You signed up for a plan without shock free data. Presumably you have been happy with this plan if you have stuck with Koodo for more than a year. Koodo has now introduced shock free data as a feature of their new plans. This feature is available to any koodo customer, old or new, that switches to one of these plans. You don't have to switch if you don't want to. Odds are, there's a shock free version of your current plan available for nearly if not exactly the same price.

do you work for Koodo, I am a not a person that knows a lot of this tec stuff on cell phones, so before you start calling people names you should find out how much they about this stuff. This is the first time I have ever seen anything do with this new Shock Free thing. I can't afford to upgrade my plan.

None of these people work for Koodo. In some other posts you can tell when they respond, they have employee under their names. The only extra thing shocknfree data gives you is the blocking. Depending on the plan you are on now you probably get notifications already.

Hi Chrissy - are you inquiring about the number ending in 98? If so, this line is already on a shock-free-data (SFD) plan, so you're all set!

As the guys pointed out, existing customers that aren't on a SFD plan are welcome to change over to one of the new rate plans on their own using self-serve, and all of the new plans that include data come equipped with SFD. So when they say 'upgrade' it doesn't necessarily mean you'll be paying more than what you're currently paying; customers can likely find a new plan at a similar price-point to their old one.

Also, all Koodo employees that post in this community will have 'Official Rep' beside their name. Mobile Masters are consumers like other community members that have shown a great deal of knowledge of our products and services, plus the telecom. world in general. They've earned this designation over time and can answer the majority of consumer questions but don't have access to any personal/account information.

Thank you very much. So are these Mobile Master are not made Mobile Masters by Koodo?

Correct, they're given this designation by Koodo.

Timo Tuokkola, Mobile Master should lose his status. Talking to a customer the way he talked to me does not look good on Koodo.  Underlined and in Bold.
