I have a new Koodo phone and now have less than a month on my blackberry with another provider. THat contract is up early June - when do I have the number inported to Koodo and how without charge as I was told at Future Shop would be the case?
If you have Self Serve set up, you can port the number from there.
You can also go to any Koodo shop to have them do the port.
If you do call Koodo to do the port, you can always ask for them to do it for free since you are a new customer. They might be able to credit the charge as a one time adjustment.
Make sure, when you do the port, you have your account number from the old provider. If you had a PIN number with them, that will work as well. Account numbers are the easiest, though.
