I bought an iPhone 4s from a third party, and I was wondering if I registered it on a plan, am I going to be bound to a three year contract, since I already own the phone. Also, could I cancel the plan anytime?

If you bring your own phone you will not be tied into any type of contact and are free to leave at any time. You will just be charged for your plan up to the month you leave on a month to month basis. If brining your own phone you will also be eligible for a 10% discount on your monthly plan cost as well.

Another option is to go prepaid if you want and you will just pay ahead of time for your usage, you choose a base plan and then boosters if you go on a prepaid plan.

Keep in mind that either way you go postpaid or prepaid that it either needs to be a koodo IPhone or it needs to be unlocked to work on any compatible provider.
Just bring the phone to a koodo kiosk and they'll be more than happy to set you up & get you on your way with a working phone enjoying Koodo's wonderful service.

As of July 14, 2013, Koodo no longer offers 3 year iphone contracts, even if you buy the phone from them.

There are no contracts period, not even 2 year or 1 year contracts :)
