Cheapest plan without data  is a promo plan of $25 which includes 100 LOCAL minutes.
But if you call your family/friends in different city/province, it will cost you $0.5/min.
And if you go over your 100 min, it also cost you $0.5/min.
So, I don't recommend anyone this plan.

$35 plan includes 200 Canada-wide anytime minutes + 100 MB

If you want the LG G3 with tab, your monthly charge will be:
$35 plan + $15 tab charge + overage if any.
Or $25 plan + $15 tab charge + overage if any.

Thanks for the reply...the reason why I asked this, is because in order to get a decent smartphone you have to pay a minimum of $70 a month...I just can't justify that...

No you don't, she just showed that you can pay $40 or $50 per month with the regular tab on phones including your G3 you want....or do you mean with other carriers?

Don't forget the 'other carriers' are offering a greater subsidy when you get the higher cost plan. Those are more like Koodo's TAB + plans. You will pay more up front for the same phone from Koodo. Crunch the numbers to see what works best for you, but don't forget about your up-front costs when calculating.

what I like most about Koodo is that you're only ever on the hook for $360 (which steadily decreases every month).  Say for instance, if you were to lose/break the same phone on Virgin, they value the phone at $500.00/

You can check out "Certified Pre-Owned phone" at Koodo stores too.
Koodo's website is showing you a few different kind and some says online only.
But... call koodo stores and ask them if they have any Pre-Owned phone in stock (and price).

It can lower your monthly cost and it comes with warranty too.

The difference between the $25.00 plan and the $35.00 (paying $40.00 / month with the +15 tab or $50.00) depends on if you require Canada-Wide Calling.  If you do make long-distance calls, I would strongly suggest the $35.00 as long distance charges do add up.  Otherwise, if you're primarily interested in using the phone to text the $40.00 / month (25.00 + 15.00 tab) would be sufficient.
