If I got a discounted phone and paid off the tab right away would I be able to switch to a prepaid plan and still keep the discount?

I plan on getting an 128GB iPhone7 which is currently discounted on koodomobile.com.   If I got a medium tab with it, and paid it off right away would I be able to switch to a prepaid plan (breaking the $40 minimum part of the deal) and still keep the $245 discount for the phone?

Hi Vaughn, No you need to stay a postpaid customer for minimum 90 days or you have to pay back any discounts or gifts.
You could stay a postpaid customer for those 90 days then switch to prepaid though

You should be able to get this deal at a Koodo store as it is not an "online only" deal but if you only have a store like Best Buy near you then they may have their own deal. If possible try your nearest Koodo store first.

I have one last question, If I applied tax exemption to my koodo account billing (native status card) could I get a phone tax free in store or online?  If not would there be any way to get the  tax refunded for the price of the phone?

Yes, you should be able to obtain the sales tax exemption, as telecommunications services are deemed delivered to your residential address. You will need to provide you Status Card info at whichever store you purchase your phone.
