ibei number not correct????

It says my IMEi number is not valid...I was at Kudo yesterday and they said this phone was fine to set up as prepaid...it's my daughters old kudo phone. I have enterd the number several times and they say it's not correct please advise

Does it take a SIM card? If so, then they don't even need to enter the IMEI of the phone. Just the SIM will be fine. If it's a CDMA phone (no SIM) then it can't be used on prepaid.
