My koodo phone that normally gets service at my home is no longer getting service, I have a to drive 45 minutes away before it will pick up any service? What is wrong with my phone and how do I get it fixed?

If the issue is primarily in your home, there's very little Koodo can do. They can't guarantee indoor service.

If Koodo can't guarantee indoor service, then I can't guarantee I'm paying my next bill.

That's incorrect thinking. You agreed to pay your bill regardless of whether you get service or not.

Also, no cell phone provider can guarantee indoor service. There are a number of factors that can interupt a cellular signal. Seeing as how the service is basically running through the towers & air, it's amazing the service works at all.

At the rates the providers are charging, they should guarantee a refund of 10% of my monthly bill if I have issues.

You can always request a credit for network issues once it's resolved. In most cases, you will get a credit based on the # of days that the service was out.

There could be several issues. hopefully it is a faulty SIM and a simple replacement would solve the problem. That is if you are using a GSM device, more specifically a device that requires a SIM. What model are you using? Has the device incurred any physical or liquid damage? Is it registering a No SIM message or is it trying to display bars? Powercycle the device after removing the battery and SIM card and waiting approx. 60 seconds. If this fails, purchase another SIM (if applicable) and proceed from there. :)

check out your coverage http://help.koodomobile.com/coverage-... click on this link. If there's no services where you are like previous stated not much koodo can if there's no coverage as to where you are.

OP says it normally gets service but now it's not so I'm thinking something's messed up with the phone or SIM card or something has changed in her area recently. I recommend getting a new SIM card to see if that fixes your issue.

Has anything changed near your house? Trees growing, new buildings gone up recently, etc.?

Another option would be to give Koodo customer service a call from a landline phone and select option 6. There may be a possible network outage or a problem with a cell tower in your area that Koodo might be unaware of, or they may have had to suspend service temporarily in order to perform maintenance.

Check and make sure your phones not set to LTE now and that it's getting a weak link of LTE and not switching over to HSPA. If it is set to LTE try setting it to HSPA & see if that helps.
