I have never been late for a payment and don't appreciate this"reminder" about paying my bill. I don't need to receive a bill from Koodo to know I need to pay my Koodo bill every month

My bill was due on the 9 Dec 2013. I paid it on the 5 Dec yet on the 6 Dec I received this message from Koodo:

Hi Michel,

We recently noticed that you didn't receive your last E-Bill notification which may have resulted in missing your payment. Don't worry, you will not see a late payment charge on your bill! All we ask is that you pay off your balance before your next bill cycle on 13-12-2013 and we'll send you a notification when it's ready.

All the best,
The Koodo Team

Hey Mike,

If you pay attention to the email, you'll see that Koodo is just saying that you won't be charged a late fee if you missed your payment because their email notification system didn't work sending out ebill notifications. This is not just you. You should appreciate the courtesy that Koodo has offered it's customers but to each their own. Trust me when I tell you that Koodo did not send you that email because it thinks you don't pay your bill.

It's a mass wide email. If it doesn't apply to you, ignore it.

I think you misunderstood what they tried to say. I and quite a few of us apparently didn't receive the regular email notification that koodo sends out every month to tell us that the bill is ready. It looks like they realized this and seem they are sending out emails to let us know about waing the late payment charge since it was their fault.

Some of us paid our bills regardless of the notification, but some may have not. This is I guees, their way of letting people know.

Clearly you don't come here often, or you would have seen the disturbing number of people SCREAMING that they cannot be expected to pay their bill if they don't receive their monthly notification.

I have pre authorized credit card payments. I'm always on time and don't have to worry about it. Can't wait for my spending cap to be cleared next month so I can finally use the negative Tab.

I wait 30 seconds before bank closes, so that I'm still 4 hours early.

Hi,
i am finding the lack of ability to directly contact KOODO about a simple billing issue an inadequacy about Koodo service. Overall i am pleased with Koodo and the low rate, but billing is another matter. i have two recent issues with billing.

i was one of the many customers who did not receive their November 2013 email bill notification. i pay bills upon notice. when i saw the large amount due in the subsequent bill, and an interest charge i came to "selfserve" to learn what's going on. i noted that the previous bill had been missed, and saw the above response by AHMED "If you pay attention to the email, you'll see that Koodo is just saying that you won't be charged a late fee if you missed your payment because their email notification system didn't work sending out ebill notifications" i thought i should be ok to only pay the 2 months of charges minus the interest charge. the interest charge was not waived on the current bill. it is s up with this?

i called a land line in Ottawa last week. the bill shows THREE lines related to the one call. all to the same number, and two lines add up to the third (4 minutes - zero charge, 18 minutes - zero charge, 14 minutes - $6.30!!!! why has this charge been imposed? how can i challenge it? avoid similar charges in the future?

i thank anyone, especially anyone who works for Koodo, for their responses.
regards
Peter
