Does your old flip phone have a SIM card, Froid? If so, and if the new phone has the same type of SIM card slot, all you will need to do is switch over the SIM card from your old phone to the new one :)

If not, it's very simple too: get a SIM card that fits your new phone, then activate that in self service. Couldn't be easier :D

What's the device you're thinking of getting as your first touch-screen phone?

If you are buying a new phone at a store they will look after everything for you.

If you have an old flip phone, then it will either be a CDMA phone (with no SIM card), or a GSM phone with a mini-SIM card.

The newer touchscreen smartphones use a micro-SIM (or if you're getting an iPhone, then a nano-SIM). So you will likely need to purchase a new SIM (of the right size) from Koodo, then activate on your account. Insert the new SIM into your phone and you will be able to use it with your phone number.

If you reply with the make/model of your new phone, someone here can tell you what kind of SIM card you will need. If you also provide your old phone's make/model, it can be determined what plan of action you will need to perform.
