Hello,

I purchased Moto G 2 weeks back and updated it to Kitkat a week later. When i was using Jelly bean initially I did not face any problem, but since i updated to kitkat I am having this problem where the incoming/outgoing calls get muted. Usually this happens when i listen to music with full volume and then make a call.

As a solution I will restart the device which then resolves this issue but then I do not want to restart my phone too often. It is really annoying.

I feel it is not a hardware issue as it works fine once restarted. Please suggest me what i could do to overcome this ?

Thanks,
Shaggy

Hey Shabharish, have you tried to tweak the equalizer settings for the Wired Stereo and Speaker separately ? (Go to Settings > Sound > Audio Effects). Try to change the settings and the profile to see if it’s any better.

If you still need help, you can visit a Koodo Shop nearby (http://koo.do/locator123), a Representative will take a look at your Moto G and assist you further.

Hi Tayeb,

Thanks for the reply. Anyways wanted to let you know that I did not had any problem for the past 25 days but today when i watched a full HD video, this problem of calls getting muted has returned. The call logs shows the call has been charged which means its just the issue with the speaker.
Also one more issue i have is once a week my network goes down completely and to get it back I need to remove and insert my SIM card again. It is annoying to do these stuffs again and again. For any problem i have in Moto G this is the only solution i have found. But strangely only my Moto G is possessing these kind of problems whereas most of my friends who have purchased did not seem to have any issue.
One thing i noticed is the SIM card which i am using is more than 5 years old. Do you think this might be a problem for the issues i have raised ?

Thanks,
Shabharish

Thanks for your reply Shabharish, The Moto G is a recent phone. However, if you've been using the same SIM Card for more than 5 years old, it's definitely time to change it, as it's probably causing these issues. Please visit a Koodo Store near your location (http://koo.do/locator123). Have a great weekend!
