The Koodo Community pages is such a great idea. I dont know why it took me this long to sign up and use it. But now that I started I cant stop!

Thanks to Koodo, all the Mobile Masters, and the entire Koodo Community

Here is what I understod the walmart associate to be telling me. I have a $15 basic plan that gives me unlimited mesages and pictures nationwide and for another $25 I get 500 anytime nationwide minutes. If I dont use up all the minutes the balance carries over to the next period as long as I pay my Basic plan on time each month. On my usage chart it aready shows a charge of 60 cents for the only picture I have attempted to send. That does not seem to me like unlimited messaging and pictures. Can anyone help me understand what I have purchased? Have I been misinformed or have I misunderstood what I would receive for my money?

Lloyd, you'd best contact customer service (611 from your mobile, 1-866-99-KOODO from other phones) to address your issue as we cannot help with billing here.

Here's the fine print for your messaging details:

"Availability of service will vary by country and is subject to change without notice. Excludes premium messages and subscription-based messages. Picture messaging includes international picture messages sent and received within Canada. Picture messaging is not supported by a BlackBerry Curve or Bold smartphone."

Picture messaging (MMS) requires data in order to work. With unlimited messaging, you're not supposed to be charged for the data that is used to send/receive the messages. However, having the data on may result in data charges being applied as your phone may be doing stuff in the background. You have to be vigilant about that.

Also, please start your own topic, or add to a relevant topic to get our feedback in a more timely fashion. Many members don't check out praise threads often. I just happened to stumble across your question.

I love the community too. It's Koodo's single best feature in my opinion.

The members are almost always helpful and I've noticed a very high standard of behavior that's very rare on the Internet.

Joined in Nov 2011 then left a couple of months ago out of a mix of anger and frustration. Kept an eye on things, but post count almost dropped to zero. Then it bit me in the rear: I like this place, even if it's angering and frustrating at times! So I started posting again, much to other users' dismay. And that's how I contributed my 2 cents to the community!

I tip my hat to all the regulars on here who have collectively gathered a truly impressive amount of knowledge about the mobile industry as a whole and its inner workings, and everyone benefits from that. Thanx to everyone!

hmm... our provincial cable provider's cellular offer makes me foam at the mouth... I'm having a hard time not considering it....$60, unlm voice+SMS/MMS+US w/ 6GB.... drooling... coverage kills though, and roaming in other provinces, argh...

Or you can move to SK/MB and get the plan (5GB only though).

For me until i upgrade to my next phone, my iPhone4 battery dies way too quickly for me to use that much data. This is my limiting factor before I jump on the 6GB bandwagon

the "moving" part somehow makes it less appealing :oP I wouldn't mind living in a different province (I worked for some time in Edmonton, AB in 2006) but I know for a fact that the g/f wouldn't come along, so, yeah... :(

I loved Edmonton, although I felt more like staying home at night, for some reason. I was in the northern part of the city 179th, 91A st. Used to take the Wayne Gretzky drive everyday at 5AM, only to be greeted by the horse racing billboard going full blast (light) while waiting at the stop light. This woke me up for the day! Good times, lol! And I remember the donairs! Those were the greatest things known to mankind! Didn't know they were that big, so first time I ordered a large one... the clerk asked "U sure pal?" I nodded, and ate donair for the next 3 meals :oP
