I was just charged 5$ to speak with a rep over the phone to not only not understand what she was saying but, to tell me that you can't get a credit check online or over the phone without a SIM card? which makes absolutely no sense to me and the koodo kiosk employee sent me to them so. Basically I spent 5 dollars on a phone call for absolutely no reason. poor customer service koodo!

If you just ask about how credit check works to open your account, they shouldn't charge you.
Do you have an account with Koodo?
How did they charge you?

It doesn't really surprise me that they wont do a credit check without at least a sim card to activate. Otherwise they cant activate anything. The system needs all the required information to do an activation, and the sim card is one of those pieces of information.

My question is how is Koodo able to charge her $5 if she is not a customer?
Why Koodo kiosk couldn't give her such information?

OP, how were you charged the $5.  DId you pay cash, crdit card?  Are you a Koodo customer already?
