I signed up for roaming before my Mexico vacation. I used the phone one day and was billed over a hundred dollars. I am in Phoenix now and am afraid to use my phone

You have easy roam added to your account?

@Ken:
Can you check in your selfserve, if easyroam was active?

How many days had you been in Mexico? if you had easyroam it would be $10/days + monthly rateplan. If you did't have it on, payperuse rate applied.

Okay. So I have to wait till I get back to Canada to have Bill adjusted

Well, you can check if you had easyroam on in your account in selfserve.
If you used payperuse, the rate is high. And if you didn't turn off your data while roaming, it would be a costly trip.

You can start the process by sending a Private Message to Koodo's Facebook Account, or a DM to their Twitter account. They can be fixing things behind the scenes while you continue your travels.

I used it one day. My Bill should have been normal plus 10 dollars but I was billed over 100 dollars for calls and texts

@Ken you have added Easy Roam to your account yesterday. Then you removed it. The international roaming (not data) add-on comes with Easy Roam. Easy Roam will give you unlimited calls back to Canada since you have an unlimited min plan. If you don't have Easy Roam on your account you will pay the pay-per-use rate like it happened the last time.

I understand easy roam. On feb 10 I thought I added it. My account shows I added international data as a stand alone ad on. If you check my data history you can clearly see it is not something I use very often. When I go to add on page in my account I can not even find international data as a stand alone option. The first thing on the top of ad ons is Easy Roam andd that is what I chose. Then I started making calls back home. My. Data wasn't even turned on for the 2 weeks I was in mexico. I had wifi access. Is it possible there was a glich in your system that did not give me all of the easy roam components?

As Bernard mentioned above :
I see, yes, data roam is a feature that allows you to use data while outside of Canada. You didn't use data though as you mentioned. The charges are for calls and texts.:

You added data roaming to access to your data.  You got charged because you made calls and sent text without easy roam.

Why do people comment and not look at the facts. Shake your heads. You people on this forum have given me nothing but guesses. Some say you can add roaming data as a stand alone. Others say you can't. NO ONE can tell me how to. You guys and gals should get off this forum and let Koodo do their own service job. Why are you volunteering bad information. I called Koodo direct and the issue was settled very quickly. If you are new to this forum...get off it. It is a waste of time and full of bad guessers
