No if you are customer then your not a new activation, only if your just first signing up with koodo. If your looking for a new phone and your tab is paid off which is what Koodo has not contracts then you'd be upgrading your device.
so Koodo doesn't give loyal customers any reason to stay with them.

Anne, you have positive tab, a nice sum, you have been accumulating that can be use towards the purchase of a new phone if you wish. We have learnt that our customers stay because of the service and value we give them. That's why they voted us the best carrier in Canada.

Everyone for the most part does mostly new activation deals. Koodo had some good sales on phones for black Friday and likely will again for boxing day. There were a couple things for existing customers even.

You'll get that new activation deal sure, and then you'll be wondering why you're not getting "loyalty" stuff. Up to you what works best for you at the end of the day.
