I migrated my number from Fido. I asked the seller if I should call Fido to inform the migration. He replied that he would be making a notification to Fido, and I don't call them, otherwise they would create me problems, like trying to cancel my line. What do you think?
Bassically if you call Fido they will pressure you into staying with them. But that's not the only thing; If you call them to cancel it they will cancel it and you will loose your number, in this case you want to keep it. What I always recommend is get Koodo to do everything and then call the old provider maybe a couple days latter to make sure your account was terminated and steps to settle your account with them.
