I just returned a phone I bought

I bought a phone and the next day I returned it due to the fact I didn't like it. Now koodo won't remove the tab from my account balance and won't allow me to get another phone. Does anyone know how long it takes to remove the tab balance on the account?

What do u mean by, Koodo won't remove the tab from your account? What did they say about u getting a new phone. Did they explain the process?

I would imagine as long as they haven't confirmed they received the phone in good order, Thomas. When did you send it back?

I had 15 day return policy. I returned it after 1 day. They took the phone gave a return receipt and said koodo won't allow u to get another phone until the tab balance is paid off the phone. But I don't own the phone and my account says -360.00 tab balance. I took it back to the store yesterday morning. The young man working the counter didn't like doing the return so I think he might have put a hold on the account posibly. I thought I could return it and switch or upgrade to another phone the same day. Guess not.

I bought a phone online through koodo, to replace my old one before it completely died. The phone came out of new box and when I turned it on, I kept getting a message to use the email associated with the phone. I took to a dealer in town thinking he could help. We were on the phone with a kodoo associate for 45 +min. She blamed Google. Didnt even give a solution of any sort.
I phone tech support for the phone which I never got a call back from. Now when I reached a koodo associate finally, I cannot return the phone, which is rendered useless, because I am a couple days past the 30 days. My old phone subsequently died causing me to lose hundreds of pictures, miss a couple work call ins.
In the end, koodo im very dissatisfied with your service and lack of help. I now have to pay for a phone I cannot use. You are ones that didn't call me back as well. And as a widow and single parent every penny counts.

I lost re receipt but need to return the phone they say I can't return it what can I do?

If the phone is a fairly recent purchase, say within a day or two, you might be able to get a reprint of the receipt. Assuming that the phone purchase was made at a Koodo shop, there should be a record of the purchase under your name. It's best to speak with the store manager, the sales reps may not have access to certain areas of the system.

I cannot make any guarantee my suggestion above will work. Koodo sales reps and store managers are under no obligation to provide you with a copy of the receipt.

If the phone purchase was made at a large chain retailer, they may not be able to issue you a copy of the receipt due to the volume of customers they deal with regularly.

What happened was the rep processed the return at the POS level, but never did the Tab reversal onto your account. I've done that by accident a few times back in the day but it's pretty quickly corrected, especially if you intended to get a different phone. He might have been new or something.
