I just moved. Koodo's coverage map shows we have coverage but I have no service. What to do?

I have had Koodo for years.  No problems even living 2 hours north of where I am now.  I moved to Caledon, Ontario where they supposedly have great coverage and my Samsung Galaxy SIII gets no service.  I sometimes get one bar but mostly it just says"emergency calls only".

Emergency Calls Only means you have service, but your SIM is not working properly. I suggest the following:
Restart your phone
Turn off your phone, remove, then reinsert your SIM, and restart your phone.
If the above fails, see what happens if you insert your SIM in another phone, or another SIM in yours.
Finally, see if another SIM from a Koodo shop works in your phone.

Ultimately, you may have to replace the SIM.

It looks like I am a couple of km from the tower

And If I recall, that part of Ontario is as flat as Saskatchewan, so unless you are hiding behind a knoll, you should have service.

Actually, it is quite hilly here but not excessively.  I live in a one story building with a umber of tenants.  I talked to one of my neighbours who is also with Koodo and has a Samsung S4.  She has exactly the same problem.  Others do not.  I shall try to take inventory of the type of phones and their providers.

I tried the sim card removal. It did not work.
