I have had my phone and service for 24 months yet my tab shows a balance, the 24 month guarantee is that the tab should be zero.

Has the 24th month just begun? The balance will be zero after the 24th month is over, so if you're just entering you 24th month you'll have to wait until the next billing cycle.

You can call *611 to be absolutely positive though.

The 24 month law started last year though....so it would be 24 mths after the law went into place

My apologies but that has still neen under 2 yrs....and i think u would have to get another phone before that would take effect....but not fully sure about that

This completely depends on what kind of agreement the customer signed to begin with.

But yes you're right, to enter into the "new law" an agreement would have to be signed afterwards.

I honestly don't know what terms Koodo would have offered 25 months ago but it's not impossible that he signed a 2 year agreement.

The new CRTC law basically ended 3 year terms and canned cancellation fees on the 2 year terms. If my memory serves me right.

Koodo's 24 month guarantee started mid-July, 2013. Any phones purchased before that fall under the old terms and are not guaranteed to be paid off after 2 4 months.

Hi there, you should have received a text message from us in March about this. There was also an information on your April bill. Your Tab will indeed be put to $0 on June 3rd :) This means that you will then be switched to the New Tab system and can upgrade to a new phone! You can even keep your current plan if you wish.
